Here's why it's called "the Snake"! New Year’s resolutions:

  • Get some cardiac exercise
  • Meet new people
  • Travel to exotic lands
You’ll get the opportunity to fulfill all these New Year’s resolutions (well, some people think Normandy Park is exotic) on Wednesday, January 21 at 9 am. “Walk the Snake” with WABI Weekday Walkers on the third Wednesday of January. Go at your own pace as far and as fast as you feel comfortable with. All the way to the top of the hill is 1.05 miles (1.69 km) and 295 feet elevation gain — steep and windy. Pause at your high point, enjoy the view, then consider “Beating the Snake” at the Cove to Clover event on Sunday, March 15, which raises money for Highline charities. WHEN:  Wednesday, January 21; NOTE NEW EARLIER START TIME OF 9:00 AM! Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so we can start walking promptly at 9 am. WHERE:   Parking lot by Normandy Park tennis courts, on SW Shorebrook Drive,  west of 12th Ave. SW.
