It’s Time for the 3rd Annual Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate Diaper Drive – coming Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Normandy Park Winterfest – to benefit Treehouse, an organization that helps Foster Kids. Donations can be made by dropping off (or shipping) diapers to the Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate office, located at 930 SW 152nd Street in Olde Burien between now and Dec. 6…OR you can drop them off at the Normandy Park Tree Lighting event on Dec. 3, where they’ll have a booth accepting diapers as well as cash donations. Many of our Readers graciously donated in the past, and organizers are hopeful you are able to do so again this year. All donations (both diapers and cash) will go to Treehouse, which says:

Treehouse provides academic and other essential support for more than 7,000 youth in foster care across Washington State each year. Our integrated, research-based services ensure that kids receive the support they need to succeed in school, fulfill key material needs, and provide important childhood experiences that every youth deserves and needs to graduate from high school at the same rate as their peers with a plan for their future.
“As foster parents my wife and I can attest that Treehouse is an amazing asset to foster children and the foster community in the Puget Sound area and this diaper drive accounts for the only diapers they will have each year for these foster kids,” said Tay Krull of Berkshire Hathaway. “Our community donated so many diapers, I can’t thank you enough. The first year we were able to raise 3,277 diapers and last year with all of your help we donated a whopping 10,677 diapers (pictured below).” ]]>
