Due to COVID-19, King County Fire District #2 is not able to accept toy or food donations at any of its fire stations this year, but they are seeking the public’s help for their annual Holiday Outreach drive.

Instead, firefighters will be purchasing food for each of the families with cash and check donations they receive through Dec. 10, 2020.

However, toys will still be gifted to families in need.

“We are excited to partner with TriMed Ambulance this year, who has generously donated toys for all of the families,” organizers said. “This is an amazing gift to the community and our annual outreach will truly make a difference thanks to TriMed Ambulance’s support.”

Each year, firefighters request families to sponsor that live within their response area from Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.

Cash and checks will be accepted at the department’s Headquarters Fire Station #28 located is Burien (map below).
