EDITOR’S NOTE: This post has been updated to reflect that this is a paid position, not volunteer.

Highline Public Schools is seeking workers to join its “chain crews” for its upcoming football season.

These are the crews you see on the sidelines during football games, holding the 1st down markers connected to 10-yard chains.

No prior experience is required – just a passion for football and a desire to be close to the action.

Workers in this paid position will have the opportunity to enjoy a front-row view of some thrilling games while contributing to the excitement on the field.

And just think of those moments where referees pull you out onto the field to see if a team has made a first down!

Some members of the Highline chain crew have even gone on to assist at the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) State Football Tournaments, making this a unique opportunity for football enthusiasts.

“What a great opportunity!”
