From our friends at WABI Burien:

This coming Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 10 a.m., the WABI Weekday Walkers will gather in Tukwila to walk through the Longacres Natural Area, site of a former horse-racing track that has been converted into a lovely forested area with ponds, wildlife, and walking paths.

All are welcome to join us!

The 158-acre site is adjacent to the new Sounders training facility and practice fields. It offers opportunities for birding and enjoying a wooded stroll. The loop walk will take us along a paved pathway through the Longacres natural area as well as a segment of the Springbrook trail that borders the Black River.

The walk is about 2.75 miles and will take a bit more than one hour.
Note that, unfortunately, pets are not allowed along the trails of this walk.

We will meet at the Tukwila Train Station, gathering at the foot of the stairs to the train platform. Parking is available in the station parking lot.

Date: WEDNESDAY, April 9, 2025 (Note that this is the 2nd Wednesday rather than our usual 3rd Wednesday.)
Time:  Meet 5-10 minutes before 10:00 so we can start walking promptly at 10:00 a.m.
Meeting Place: Tukwila train station, 7301 Longacres Way, Tukwila, WA 98188
