A King County Metro bus was involved in a crash just after 2 a.m. Monday morning, July 20 near Ambaum Blvd. SW and SW 126th Street in Burien (map below), sending three passengers and the bus driver to Harborview Medical Center, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said the bus was traveling north on Ambaum Blvd. near SW 126th Street when a car crossed into the intersection and collided with it.

The driver of the car fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind, but deputies later located and arrested him, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office said people should check with King County Metro for updates on bus routes and on the condition of the driver and passengers.

The sheriff’s office did not immediately provide further details on their conditions.
