Below is a Message From President/Principal Mohs released on May 5:
“Dear Lancer Family,
“As a historian by training, I have always had a deep appreciation for individual and institutional legacies. This orientation informs how I have approached leadership throughout my life and is one of the ways that I have come to understand and embrace the Kennedy Catholic community.
“Yesterday immediately before our Grandparents’ Day Mass we learned that Mr. Jack Schuster had passed away on Wednesday evening. Jack served as Kennedy Catholic’s principal from 1982-2004 and the legacy of his tenure has been present every day since he retired – in the students our institution has served, the men and women he hired, and the foundation he laid for the school’s future leaders to steward and build upon. We offered the Mass in his memory and our prayers for his family and the repose of his soul.
“Jack is survived by his wife and children, including Kennedy Catholic alumnus Bishop Frank Schuster ‘90. I have spoken to Bishop Schuster, offered him the condolences of our entire community and shared with him that he and his family are in our prayers. Bishop Schuster asks for our continued prayers.
“Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May the soul of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.“
In peace,
Matt
