At Wednesday night’s Board meeting, longtime member Susan Goding resigned from the Highline School Board, effective after the March 4 meeting. “I had made the decision late last year and told the Board and Superintendent so they can start to prepare for the process to appoint someone to replace me,” she said. “I waited until now to make it official so it could not be made an issue during the levy and bond vote.” Goding has served on the board since 2005, and was last re-elected in Nov. 2013. She served in the District 3 seat, and her term was set to expire in Dec. 2017. “I have appreciated being on the Board but I have decided to focus my advocacy work on math education throughout the state,” Goding added in a statement on her Facebook page. Remaining members of the school board include Bernie Dorsey, President, Michael Spear, Vice President, Tyrone Curry Sr., and Angelica Alvarez.]]>
