Your Highline High Pirates varsity football team decidedly won Friday night’s (Oct. 20, 2023) home conference game against the Foster Bulldogs by an overwhelming score of 76-0 at Highline Memorial Stadium.

And no, that isn’t a typo – 76-0 was really the final score. To a high school football game.

The game was pretty much won in the 1st quarter, when the Pirates scored 35 points.

Highline is now averaging nearly 55 points per game for this season.

The win keeps the Pirates tied for first place with Renton – their next and final season opponent on Oct. 26 – both at 7-1 overall and 5-0 in their division in the 2A KingCo league (just don’t forget the “Points For” difference: Pirates 437 vs Redhawks 253).

Highline is now ranked 15th in the state WIAA standings for 2A division teams, and playoffs are set to begin the weekend of Nov. 10-11.

The Pirates next matchup – their final regular season game for 2023 – is a home conference matchup against the 7-1 Renton Redhawks this coming Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, with a 6 p.m. kickoff at Highline Memorial Stadium.
