The North Hill Community Club will resume its monthly gatherings at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at its 1934-style community hall at 20827 Third Ave. S. in Des Moines (map below).
Scott Schaefer, founder/publisher of local news network South King Media, and an award-winning TV writer/director/producer, will be the guest speaker.
In addition to publishing local news for the region since 2007, Schaefer is a three-time Emmy Award winning writer for “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” who got his start at KING-TV’s comedy show “Almost Live!” He also directed “The Maury Island Incident” film and has worked on numerous TV productions.
No RSVP is needed for this event, and the North Hill Community Club welcomes friends and neighbors to its informal gatherings on the second Tuesday of each month.
