Resident Elston Hill and his wife Jackline managed to avoid some of the recent, seemingly relentless torrent of raindrops and capture some great photos of some local Trilliums just starting to bloom.
“We planned to attend the WABI walk yesterday to Walker Preserver yesterday to look for Trilliums,” Elston said. “But the rain was quite constant so it did not seem like a good day for muddy trails. But Thursday morning we went to Walker Preserve in Normandy Park and eventually found the Trilliums just starting to bloom. Lots of other early spring vegetation to see. We may be frustrated with all the rain, but that is what makes our area so pretty.”Click images to see larger versions/slideshow: ]]>
Thank you, Elston. Your photos are beautiful. Between them, my lovely daffodils in bloom and today’s sunshine, I have hope for the return of spring and sunshine soon.

Elston, We missed you on the walk! There were 5 of us and yes, the trails were very muddy, but we were all happy and chatting in the pouring rain. And yes! We saw the trilliums just about ready to pop open. Maybe we photographed the same ones… Thanks for your photos. See you on a later walk…
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing!
Dear Hills – I love your photos! Thank you so much for sharing them 🙂
