Courtesy Elston Hill comes these great photos showing an abundance of Trilliums – a sure sign that spring has sprung – seen during a recent WABI Burien Weekday Walk through Walker Preserve in Normandy Park. “According to Laura Gould, leader of the monthly WABI Wednesday Walk, this was a record for seeing Trilliums,” Elston said. “There were so many Trilliums in full bloom, and the walking group not only admired the trilliums, but they also pulled some invasive ivy.” If you missed the hike, be sure to check the WABI Burien website, and see the flowers while they are in full bloom. There is no parking at the trailhead, but there is parking a block away at a small park or further away at the Normandy Park City Hall. Click images to view larger versions/slideshow: ]]>
