A two-run fifth inning lifted Burien’s Kennedy Catholic Lancers to a 2 to 1 win over the Eastside Catholic Crusaders on April 24, 2026 at T-Mobile Park in the annual High School Baseball Classic.

Eastside Catholic took a 1-0 lead in the third inning but could not generate any additional runs the rest of the game.

The Lancers broke through with two runs in the fifth inning at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners, providing the decisive margin in a game defined by dominant pitching.

Kennedy Catholic finished with two runs on one hit and one error, while Eastside Catholic recorded one run on seven hits with no errors, according to game statistics from MaxPreps.

Despite being out-hit, Kennedy Catholic limited damage defensively and held Eastside Catholic scoreless over the final four innings to secure the win.

The Lancers entered the matchup with a strong 12-4 overall record and a .750 winning percentage, positioning them as one of the more consistent teams in the region this season. Eastside Catholic, meanwhile, came in with a 9-10 record and a .474 winning percentage, reflecting a more up and down campaign despite recent wins heading into the game.
