A reception for Seattle artist Steven LaRose will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 at Humble Vine, offering South King County residents an opportunity to engage with a painter whose work has been exhibited nationally.

LaRose, who lives in Seattle, holds a Master of Fine Arts in painting from Claremont Graduate University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Whitman College, according to event information.

His work has been featured in solo exhibitions across Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland and Ashland, and has been discussed in publications including the Los Angeles Times, ARTnews, The New Art Examiner and the Chicago Tribune.

The event is open to the public.
