On Tuesday night, April 1, businesses and residents of Olde Burien were “abducted” by UFOs, Men – and Women – in Black, and more Aliens than you could shake a probe at. It was the second annual “Burien UFO Festival,” a tradition started in 2013 to help promote the locally-produced film “The Maury Island Incident,” a movie about an historic 1947 UFO sighting that will be released this year. Organizer John White, along with Event Manager Renatta Emerson, were the brains behind this event, along with lots of friends and volunteers – both human and alien. The winner of the “Best Man in Black” was Buddy Rivera, the “Best Woman in Black” was Shelli Park, and the “Best Alien” was Souza Seshima. The “Best UFO” was made by David Austin. 1. Thanks to John and Renatta for putting on this event. The family had so much fun (especially my little flash mobber)! Looking forward to it again next year.
