Last Saturday, July 4, 2026 was Burien’s 103rd Independence Day Parade through downtown, and at times it seemed like it had gone to the dogs, Elks, clowns, robots or even something from the “Little Shop of Horrors.”
“We may have marched in the Fourth of July parade, but we’re really hoping our next parade is the one that leads us home,” Jen Ritz said about the Burien CARES dog entry. “Attached are photos of the adoptable dogs from Burien CARES showing off our patriotic spirit and wagging our way through the celebration.”
