If you saw police activity in White Center on Tuesday morning, July 11, 2023, it was likely the King County Sheriff’s Office handling a crisis at/near the DSHS Office at 9650 15th Ave SW (map below).
Police say that a person having a mental crisis was eventually taken into custody with the help of KCSO’s Crisis Negotiation Team and TAC 30 (SWAT), and later booked into King County Jail.
“As there is a current and active investigation ongoing into this incident there is no more I can release at this time,” Sgt. Eric White, Public Information Officer for KCSO told The White Center Blog.
