A power outage knocked out electricity for nearly 12,000 Seattle City Light customers in the Burien area on Sunday afternoon, April 14, 2024.
A widespread outage started at 2:29 p.m., and was out for an area from Three Tree Point in the south up through Boulevard Park to South Park in the north.
Cause of the outage was still under investigation as of 3:40 p.m.
Seattle City Light said the estimated restoration time is 9 p.m. Sunday night.
UPDATE 4 p.m.: Power has been restored to some customers as of 4 p.m.

How does one find out the cause of these outages? The SCL website online lists current outages then the history is lost immediate as soon as the outage is closed… not very transparent.
