A re-dedication of the newly-built and installed ‘Downtown Burien Arch’ is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. this Friday, Sept. 15.
As we previously reported, the previous arch was destroyed by a crane truck on Feb. 10, 2016.
The cost to replace the arch was $390,000, and was paid for by an insurance claim from the truck company.
The original sign was part of a 1999 ‘Downtown Burien Streetscape Design Plan,’ and was designed by KPG Interdisciplinary Design.
