REMINDER: Burien area residents can dispose of household hazardous waste for free when the Wastemobile visits the city this weekend – Friday, Oct. 9, through Sunday, Oct. 11.
The mobile collection service will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Fred Meyer store, 14300 First Ave South (map below), according to the City of Burien.
Residents may bring unused, old or unwanted household products including batteries, pesticides, motor oil, oil based paint and antifreeze.
Potentially hazardous products can often be identified by labels containing words such as “danger,” “warning,” “caution” or “poison,” the city said.
For more details, visit the Wastemobile website for information about other disposal opportunities and a complete list of accepted materials.
This mobile collection service travels to select King County communities and provides community members a free, convenient place to take their household hazardous waste like batteries, pesticides, motor oil, and more. (2/6) https://t.co/uoxnM9l81b
