Burien area residents can dispose of household hazardous waste for free when the Wastemobile visits the city the weekend of Friday, Oct. 9, through Sunday, Oct. 11.
The mobile collection service will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Fred Meyer store, 14300 First Ave South (map below), according to the City of Burien.
Residents may bring unused, old or unwanted household products including batteries, pesticides, motor oil, oil based paint and antifreeze.
Potentially hazardous products can often be identified by labels containing words such as “danger,” “warning,” “caution” or “poison,” the city said.
