Sound Generations is seeking a volunteer to pack weekly Meals on Wheels orders in Burien, helping provide nutritious food and personal contact to homebound seniors.
The volunteer will work from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays.
The position is ongoing, and Sound Generations is looking for someone dependable who can make a continuing commitment to the program.
The volunteer may occasionally be asked to deliver meals when additional help is needed. Those deliveries would take place from 10:30 a.m. to Noon Wednesdays.
According to Sound Generations, Meals on Wheels volunteers help homebound seniors maintain their health and independence through nutritious meals, caring service and regular personal contact.
The meal packing position is intended for an individual volunteer and is listed as friendly for children.
