On Friday night, Oct. 6, 2023 at 7:28 p.m., a victim called 9-1-1 to report that his vacation home in the 16500 block of Maplewild Ave SW (map below) was being burgled.

The victim told police that he saw the burglary taking place over his security camera system as he was off site.

A large police response of up to 15 vehicles responded to the area, and a search was conducted.

Guardian 1 was asked to fly over the neighborhood to assist at the request of patrol but did not find any suspects or anything else in the area.

The King County Sheriff’s Office told The B-Town Blog that they did not find any suspects.

This is all the information police released to us.

The incident is active and open and will be followed up by Burien PD Detectives.

  1. Meanwhile, a couple miles down rhe road in the Highland Park neighborhood a man called to report seeing his vacationing neighbors home being burglarized. Police requested he gather as much descriptive info about the subjects as possible and file an online report………
