A man was arrested shortly before midnight Wednesday night, Sept. 9 after a neighbor reported someone using a ladder to try to enter a Burien home through a window, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).

Burien Police/KCSO officers responded to the reported burglary attempt in the 300 block of SW 136th Street (map below).

A search of the area, including a police dog, led to the man’s arrest, police said.

Residents reported a large police response, including the Guardian One helicopter, K9 and numerous officers canvassing the neighborhood.

The man was taken to King County Jail for investigation of residential burglary.

The case has been forwarded to detectives for review.
