UPDATE TUESDAY, FEB. 16, 2021: Burien’s Seahurst Park has reopened after being closed due to hazardous conditions.
The closure was due to snow and ice-laden trees, which can be dangerous, along with slippery pathways.
The road going into the park had to be plowed out and the city says it needed time to clear sidewalks and assess a pre-existing landslide, potential flooding, and any hazardous trees.
The park had been closed since a snowstorm hit the region Friday night, Feb. 12.
