The Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce is inviting local business owners and leaders to attend a SeaTac Business Roundtable on Thursday, July 30, where attendees will hear updates from the Port of Seattle and the City of SeaTac while discussing issues affecting the local business community.
The free event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce, 3100 S. 176th Street, Suite 210, in SeaTac (map below). According to the Chamber, the roundtable is designed to give businesses an opportunity to share current challenges and successes, ask questions and help shape future business support and advocacy efforts.
“I hope you’ll join us to listen, engage in the conversation, and connect with local businesses,” Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce CEO Samanthe Le said. “If you know of businesses in SeaTac that would benefit from attending, I’d greatly appreciate you sharing the invitation with them as well. The more voices we have at the table, the stronger our collective advocacy can be.”
Representatives from the Port of Seattle will provide an update on the Sustainable Airport Master Plan and gather feedback from businesses about issues affecting the community. Officials from the City of SeaTac also will discuss current economic development initiatives, business resources and projects underway throughout the city.
According to the Chamber, the discussion is intended to help identify what is working well for local businesses, where challenges remain and what additional support may be needed. Feedback gathered during the event will help inform the Chamber’s future advocacy efforts and programming.
