The Burien Community Center will host the city’s annual Empty Bowls event on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, bringing together art, food, and community to raise funds for the Highline and White Center Food Banks.

The event includes both a lunch and dinner option:

  • Lunch: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Dinner: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

For a minimum donation of $20 for adults and $10 for children, your donation will get you the opportunity to pick out a beautiful bowl made by local Artists from the Moshier Art Center, and receive a simple but wonderful meal of soup, bread, dessert, and drink donated by local businesses.

The Empty Bowls initiative is part of a nationwide movement aimed at combating hunger through community engagement and support. The event encourages attendees to reflect on food insecurity in their communities while enjoying a meaningful and creative experience.

No RSVP is required, and all are welcome to participate.
