On Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023 at around 1 p.m., Seattle Police recovered a vehicle from Burien and arrested two males, one of which was involved in a recent carjacking, Seattle Police reported

SPD said it obtained information about a vehicle that was taken at gun point out of the city of Burien. The vehicle was tracked to the Yesler Terrace neighborhood near 12th Avenue and East Alder Street in Seattle.  

Officers arrived in the area and located the unoccupied stolen vehicle parked in a staff only parking lot. Police reviewed video footage of the parking lot and observed two males exiting from the car. The two males were seen walking eastbound on East Alder Street.  

Police contacted a business in the area regarding the two possible suspects. Staff confirmed the suspects had entered and were still inside the building.  

The two male suspects were located and taken into custody.

One 14-year-old male suspect was arrested for robbery and booked into the King County Child and Family Justice Center.

The other male, an 18-year-old, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into King County Jail.
