From our friends at Burien Actors Theatre:

At Burien Actors Theatre, the health and safety of our audiences, performers, and staff are of the utmost importance. We are monitoring developments around Coronavirus (COVID-19) very closely.

We are reviewing governmental mandates and recommendations.

BAT has two more weeks of The Rocky Horror Show. To date, BAT has not canceled any of these performances. BAT is a 94-seat house and is following the advice of the CDC. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • BAT screening its volunteers, cast, band, and crew;
    • Sanitizing on a greatly accelerated basis;
    • Putting up hand sanitizing stations;
    • Making sanitizing hand wipes available throughout the theater.

BAT will also be limiting seating (audience size) to provide for adequate social distancing.

If you are in a high-risk group (over age 60 or with underlying health conditions), please take care of yourself, and make an informed decision whether to attend The Rocky Horror Show. Although it is a great show, do not put yourself at risk.

We are maintaining a watchful eye on the situation. It is a very fluid situation. As of now, BAT will continue to take steps to keep everyone safe while still providing a valuable and much-needed service to Burien and the Pacific Northwest.

Even with going forward with The Rocky Horror Show for as long as we feel it is safe for our audiences, performers, and staff, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has hit BAT hard financially. If you can, please make a gift to BAT as we navigate these uncharted seas.
