On Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024 at 1:09 p.m., King County Fire District crews responded with Burien Police/King County Sheriff’s Office and rendered medical aid to a female driver found in a vehicle at 1st Ave S and SW 160th Street in Burien.

Police said the woman driver was found unresponsive in a vehicle stopped at a stop light at that busy intersection.

She was removed from her vehicle and discovered to be suffering from a diabetic emergency. 

“The victim was transported to an area hospital to receive further care, and was able to leave the emergency scene in stable condition with good vital signs,” Ray Desmarais, Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal for KCFD2 told The B-Town Blog.
