A 19-year-old man was arrested on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023 in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a 77-year-old woman in Burien at around 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023.
The man was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide.
As we previously reported, the hit-and-run on Ambaum Blvd. S. near S. 174th Street in south Burien killed a woman, who was identified to The B-Town Blog by a family member as Gail Donnelly, 77, who was crossing the street.
Upon the arrival of Burien Police and King County Fire District #2 to the scene, Donnelly was located on the side of the road with “heavy trauma,” and crews were unable to resuscitate her.
Sadly, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The man allegedly fled the scene of the crash, but was eventually tracked down and arrested by police, who located his vehicle on Sept. 13.
The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the crash.
