These graduates are the recipients of the Foundation’s 20 scholarships, which amounted to $60,000 in awards this year. “The Foundation especially thanks the generous $20,000 matching-funds donation from Mike Walsh, Class of ’77,” reads an announcement. “Due to that donation, the Foundation was able to increase the scholarships from $2,500 to $3,000 for each student, plus adding three new scholarships in honor of Mike’s parents, Roger and Linda Walsh, both HHS graduates themselves.” All Highline alumni are encouraged to become members of the Foundation by sending $10 annual dues to: HHSAF, P.O. Box 66647, Burien, WA 98166 or by going online. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted on the HHSAF website at www.highline-highschool-alumni-foundation.org. Lifetime membership is a single payment of $100. All contributions over the dues amount will benefit our scholarship fund and are very much appreciated. In addition, all are welcome to attend the annual HHSAF Golf Day to be held this year on Friday, Aug. 15 at Allenmore Golf course.
