Just in time for summer solstice – arriving at 7:57 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 – comes our old friend ‘June-uary,’ with colder temps along with grayer, wetter skies – Happy Summer Burien!

The National Weather Service is predicting that a weak upper level trough over the area combined with a low level convergence over Central Puget Sound will keep a chance of showers drizzling over us.

Lows are expected to drop to the mid 40s to lower 50s starting Saturday night, June 17. There’s a 70 percent chance of showers on Father’s Day too (be sure to put your convertible tops up at the Car Show!).

The good news? Possible wildfire prevention, greener lawns and plants, and the weather should warm up a bit starting Thursday, June 23.
