Burien’s Kennedy Catholic High School football Lancers traveled all the way to Colorado to take on the Regis Jesuit Raiders (Aurora, CO), who won Saturday’s (Sept. 2, 2023) non-conference game against the Lancers by a score of 36-33.
Kennedy got off to a fast start at the mile-high stadium, and lead by a score of 12-7 at the end of the first quarter.
At halftime, the Lancers were hanging on to a slim 26-22 lead, but they failed to score in the third and trailed 36-26 by the start of the fourth quarter.
A late touchdown wasn’t enough, and Regis Jesuit held on for the 3-point win.
The game was played at EchoPark Stadium in Parker, CO, which is at a 6,000-foot altitude.
The Lancers next face the Highline Pirates this coming Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023 at Noon in the “Battle of Burien.”
