The Kennedy Catholic High School Lancers varsity football team won Saturday’s home conference game against the Decatur Golden Gators by a score of 30-6.

The game was played at Highline Memorial Stadium in Burien.

Some highlights include:

  • Lancer quarterback Devon Forehand (Jr) had 15 completions in 24 attempts for 244 yards.
  • Indiana Jones (Jr) ran 14 times and gained 92 yards, for an average of 6.6 yards per carry.
  • Jones also caught 6 passes for 96 yards, at an average of 16.0 yards per catch. Overall, he gained 188 yards in the game.
  • In the 4th quarter, Joey Thomas III had a thrilling 100-yard pick-6 interception return for a TD, making the score Kennedy 29. Decatur 6.
  • Kicker Ryan Thomas (Jr) was 3 for 3.

Kennedy is now tied for first in the 4A North Puget Sound Football Standings, with a 3-1 overall record and 2-0 division one.

The Lancers next take on the Federal Way High Eagles on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 at Noon.
