Burien Police / King County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that on Monday, April 6, 2020, a large, 1,500 pound welder was stolen from a construction site in the 11400 block of Des Moines Memorial Drive in Burien (map below).

Police say that whoever nabbed the welder would “need the correct equipment to steal an item this large.”

The crew had left the site on Friday April 3 at about 5:30 p.m., and returned Monday morning April 6 to find the welder missing.

Stolen wass a Lincoln Vantage 400 industrial welder, silver and black in color, approximately three feet by six feet, and weighing approximately 1,500 pounds.

The value is approximately $17,000-$20,000.
