It’s official – the 2023 Pooch Playoffs champion is ‘Liam’!

Liam is a sweet 2-year-old Beagle with a beautiful and rare bluetick coat. He’s been with his family since he was just wee pup and his mom, Joyce, has taught him how to high-five and even dance.

The runner up, an 11-year-old Pointer named Bella, was joined in the contest by her sister Nani.

All the dogs and cats did amazing and fought really hard to get through each round.

Organizers had nearly 1,300 votes in the end.

As of today, Pooch Playoffs 2023 has raised a total of $2,640 which will be donated to Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary and C.A.R.E.S of Burien & Des Moines.

If you would like to continue to support Resilient Hearts and CARES, there is a donation link for each one respectively that will be available until June 30th or you can reach out to them about volunteer opportunities.

“Thank you to the amazing local businesses who sponsored this year’s event,” organizer Lainey Poelzer said. “They are a huge part in making this possible so be sure to send them some love. When we shop locally, we become part of something greater than ourselves. We support the dreams and aspirations of our neighbors, who have poured their hearts and souls into creating businesses that reflect their values and dreams. Each purchase becomes a small act of encouragement, reminding them that their efforts matter and that they are appreciated.”
