Dozens of people showed up Saturday night (Dec. 30) despite the drizzle at Seahurst Park Beach for the Environmental Science Center’s final Moonlight Beach Walk of 2017. Science Center Naturalists were on the beach to help guests see marine animals in a whole new light – their FLASHLIGHTS! In addition to flashlights, all that was required for participants were boots, hats, gloves, coats and the desire to meet new fellow B-Town neighbors who live in Puget Sound. Resient Elston Hill was there, with at least 60 other people, including many children. “Lots of wildlife – crabs, anemones, sea stars, and so much more,” Elston said. “Great way for young people to learn about our ecosystem.”
The next Moonlight Beach Walk will be on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, from 6 – 8 p.m.; more info here.Click images to view larger versions/slideshow: ]]>
