A series of intense, massive storms full of rain and wind struck the region this week, and Burien has suffered – with a mudslide that destroyed a home, water over numerous roadways, overflowing retention ponds, downed trees, damaged homes, power outages, roads littered with branches – and much, much more.
Scott Schaefer put his boots on, went out and took these photos on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, before the next storm hits sometime Thursday (click images to see larger versions/slideshow):
