A widespread power outage in Burien left 3,757 Seattle City Light customers without electricity Wednesday evening, April 16.

City Light reported the outage began around 8:04 p.m.

Boundaries of the outage ranged from Gregory Heights on the south, up through Lake Burien and Downtown Burien then up to Boulevard Park.

The utility company is investigating the cause and has not yet provided details on what may have triggered the disruption.

Restoration efforts are underway, with power expected to be restored by approximately 2:05 a.m. on April 17, according to the latest updates from Seattle City Light.

City Light crews are working to restore service, and the utility encourages customers to report any downed lines or hazards.
