Ribbon cutting and tour on Wednesday, February 26

We are excited to invite you to the opening of the Lake to Sound Trail – Segment A, on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020!

This 1.1 mile-long segment connects up with the Green River Trail on the west end, circles the north edge of the Black River Riparian Forest – home to one of the largest heron rookeries in the region – and terminates at Naches Ave SW.

Come join County Executive Dow Constantine and other local representatives open the trail, followed by a walking tour of the rookery by Herons Forever.

WHERE: West end of the Black River Riparian Forest on the north end of the bridge

WHEN: Wednesday, February 26, ceremony begins at 2 p.m., tour of heron rookery at 3 p.m.
