The City of Burien is inviting residents to take part in National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, an annual event aimed at strengthening community ties and building relationships between neighbors, police, fire personnel, and city staff.

Neighborhoods across Burien are encouraged to host block parties and community gatherings as part of this nationwide crime prevention event.

The Burien Police Department and other local agencies will visit registered events to foster connections and promote public safety awareness.

The registration deadline for National Night Out block parties is July 18, 2025.

Community members can sign up by scanning the QR code featured on the official flyer or by contacting Burien Police Community Service Officer Michiko Wilson at Michiko.Wilson@kingcounty.gov.

The city encourages residents to “host a block party and meet your neighbors, local police, fire, and city staff and build community relationships,” as stated in the official announcement.
