A heavy police presence and SWAT response in SeaTac on Saturday, May 3, 2025, led to the arrest of a suspect in a kidnapping and felony assault case, SeaTac Councilmember Joe Vinson announced via social media.
The incident began with a call for help involving an injured individual near South 173rd Street and Military Road (map below).
The call escalated into a broader investigation requiring a SWAT deployment.
Police later apprehended the suspect with the assistance of Flock Safety camera technology.
“Thanks to strong police work and the use of Flock Safety camera technology, a suspect was safely located and taken into custody later that day,” Vinson stated.
The suspect is being booked for kidnapping and felony assault, and officials confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the community.
“Thank you to our public safety personnel for their swift response and to neighbors for your vigilance and patience,” Vinson added.
Further details, including the identity of the suspect or victim, have not been released as the investigation continues.
