At around 7 p.m. on Thursday night, Oct. 26, 2023 deputies serving the Burien Police Department responded to the intersection of S. 128th Street and 4th Ave S. (map below) for two dogs that the caller believed had been shot in the head.

On arrival, a deputy located the dogs in the roadway, and on preliminary inspection, did not see any obvious signs of gunshot wounds.

Burien CARES responded and after examining the animals their officer stated it appeared they had been hit by a vehicle.

CARES took possession of the two deceased dogs, and the case has been forwarded to Detectives for review.

“According to my officer the dogs were not shot, but hit by a car,” Debra George of Burien CARES told The B-Town Blog. “The police are looking at video as well to see if it was an accident or part of animal cruelty.”
