Under gorgeous, crystal blue skies on a crisp 37-degree New Year’s Day, a record crowd of around 80 people braved the chilly waters of Puget Sound as they rang in 2015 at the annual Three Tree Point Polar Bear Plunge.
This year’s winner was 13-year-old DJ Voellger, who was crowned champ because of his exuberance –he ran and plunged into the water way before the countdown even started, as seen below:
