Dozens of brave, crazy citizens dove into the New Year at the Three Tree Point Polar Bear Plunge on Friday, Jan. 1, under bright and clear sunny skies, with the air temp around 35 and the water actually warmer – between 40-45 degrees. This year’s Polar Bear Plunge Champion was AJ Stumpf of Burien, who wore his daughter’s hot pink (and very tight) pants and waved a US flag. Here’s video of the plunge as shot and edited by Scott Schaefer: Here’s a cool slo-mo video courtesy Saundra Mock: [fbvideo link=”https://www.facebook.com/saundra.mock/videos/vb.544953113/10153838361058114/?type=2&theater” width=”500″ height=”400″ onlyvideo=”1″] Here are some excellent photos courtesy Elston Hill (click images to see larger versions/slideshow): And here are some great photos courtesy Jana Kleitsch (click images to see larger versions/slideshow): ]]>
