WABI Burien Weekday Bikers will cycle the Alki Trail this Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024.

We plan to meet a little before 10 a.m. at the Delridge Community Center parking lot (address below) and cycle north, picking up the Alki trail along Harbor Avenue SW.

We will take a detour to Jack Block Park before continuing around picturesque Duwamish Head and along Alki Beach.

The ride continues past Alki Point lighthouse, then south to Constellation Park for views of the Olympic mountains and Mount Rainier before returning.

The total distance is slightly less than 12 miles on paved, flat surfaces. Expected duration: 110 minutes.

All participants will need to bring their own bike, a bike safety helmet, and are expected to follow safety guidelines as outlined in the Ride Smart Biking tips

Beach near Alki Point.

We also advise all bikers to bring: water for hydration, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a small snack (granola bar, dried fruit, nuts, etc).
