A new trailer promoting the 2nd annual Burien Film Festival – to be held Friday, April 1 in Olde Burien – was released this weekend, and it includes clips from five entries: [youtube]https://youtu.be/o-dpj_l8c0k[/youtube] 2016 Burien Film Festival entries featured in this video include:

  • “I Whisper Your Name, I Scream Your Name” – Johnny Briggs
  • “A to Z” – AtoZ ShortFilm
  • “Maplewild”- @Kennedy Creative Works
  • “Harlon Meets Lea” – Aubrey Kehres
The contest is part of the Burien UFO Festival, which begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 1. Film fest entries will be screened starting at 9 p.m. inside the Tin Theater, located at 923 SW 152nd Street. This year BFF will highlight Burien’s 18 neighborhoods. Movie creators wishing to enter the contest must include, in any way they see fit, the following in their films:
  • One Burien Neighborhood- to be assigned when entering the contest
  • A story or message about, or a feature of, your assigned neighborhood
  • A love interest
  • Highlight at least one small business preferably in the neighborhood you are assigned. If your neighborhood is residential, then pick a nearby Burien business.
  • The artist-created symbol for the neighborhood assigned.
Prizes:
  • First Place - $1500
  • Second Place - $1000
  • Third Place - $750
