Burien Indivisible will hold its inaugural meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at the Boulevard Park Library, according to the group.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 9, in the group meeting room at the library (map below).
The group said community members are invited to learn about its work in Burien.
Burien Indivisible said it formed in April in response to an increase in ICE presence in the community. The group began with twice-monthly rallies at 1st Ave South and SW 148th Street in front of the Burien Arch.
Since then, the group said it has added regular postcard writing to potential voters across the nation, collaboration with rapid response teams and connections with other Indivisible chapters across South King County.
Event Schedule
- Burien Chooses Love Rally is held from Noon to 2 p.m. every second and fourth Saturday at 1st Ave South and SW 148th Street in front of the Burien Arch. The group describes the rally as a celebration of unity and inclusion.
