Highline High’s football Pirates fell 33-14 to the Mercer Island Islanders on Friday night at Highline Memorial Stadium, dropping to 0-5 on the season.

The loss was Highline’s fifth straight to open the 2026 campaign. Through five games the Pirates have scored 49 points while allowing 145. Mercer Island improved to 4-1 with the road win.

The 19-point margin was Highline’s second-largest defeat of the season, behind the 35-0 loss at Liberty on Sept. 18

The Pirates travel to Interlake next, on Friday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
